Whispering Souls Companioning
The progression of objectives and stages, below, build naturally and steadily toward creating a foundation for Healing, Wholing, Eco-Awakening, and Soul-Encounter.
Clients arrive for this work with varying intentions and different amounts of work already done in different areas.
We can cherry-pick what objectives to start with and then discern where some additional work may be required as we move between objectives.
Conversely, we may begin work on an objective and discover that there is already substantial Client-realization that allows us to move ahead more quickly.
Some of the work helps us to speak a common language and synchronize our energies.
We will explore dimensions of Self
(e.g. the Pyramid of Being)
as understood by Rev. Scott and The Client with the purpose of looking for common ground and finding the most effective ways for
The Catalyst
to adapt skills, knowledge, experience, and resources for the benefit of The Client. A key concept lies in the Transpersonal Domain, where Spirit and Soul, and other aspects of mysticism and non-rational ways of knowing, help to populate a spectrum of non-typical states of consciousness essential to wholeness and identity. This offers broader access to our interconnections with Wilderness.
Creating Safe Space — Sanctuary
We will create "safe spaces" for your individual benefit and also for our mutual benefit, to contain the personal matters that inevitably arise in this work, and to have space for individual emergence and contemplation of wounds, virtues, shadows, soul, wilderness, and other repressed aspects from the unconscious realms.
Self-Care
We will identify needs and ways of meeting the needs for self-care. What are the ways that body, mind, spirit, and soul can be "set free" and made more accessible for The Client? This is an objective that is often spread across all of our work together; reclaiming our self-sovereignty and authentically connecting from our center.
Hearing / Seeing / Receiving / Trusting
We will build a sturdy bridge between each other that is constructed of patience, understanding, compassion, trust, and openness that allows for authentically vulnerable sharing — being able to say the things that may never have seemed possible to say before. We will protect all that is shared in confidence — that its sole purpose is for the personal discoveries you have needed all your life.
Mirroring / Honoring / Returning
We will build skills uniquely necessary in our connection to provide dialog that is in honor of each other — not for voyeurism nor for the spinning of tales, but to help the companion explore their true meaning — then, allow the companion to own their own story: return their struggle to them until or unless they bring it forward for further witnessing and processing.
Awe and Gratitude
Awe and Gratitude both have inward and outward movements in our lives. These senses help us to be connected to the environment, our community, and our ideas of value and identity. Being truly amazed with our relationships to self, others, and the cosmos is the gateway to gratitude for everything, big and small.
Re-Wilding / †Ecological Awakening
We will re-inforce the inherent energy within that connects us all to the realm of
Eco-Awareness,
and Wilderness: nature and its spiritual energy, as it has come into balance over the ages as our gracious community; our (largely forsaken) origin, both around us and (often repressed) within us — striving for an embodied experience of innate membership in the Earth community.
Self-Healing / Wholing
Given a foundation of having met the other objectives above, we can start to realize healing and wholing around key facets of the Self — it is necessary to know how to handle the wounds, virtues, shadows, and wilderness that emerge on the journey toward Soul Encounter...
*Healing
involves tending to our deep unconscious wounds: not necessarily curing or removing them, but soothing, repairing, befriending, honoring, and holding space for their integration into our well-being.
**Wholing
is a comprehensive and integrated realization of our
Facets of Wholeness⌖,
more fully possible once the Healing foundation is set.
‡Soul Encounter
Your Soul is ever-ready and eager to be revealed into your presence;
having established a foundation for your
Encounter with your Soul,
there are many ways of making contact.
It is rare for a comprehensive download of Soul's revelations to emerge all at once,
so continued healing, wholeness, and openness are often necessary — some of which can be performed independently.
Some seekers come to their revelations naturally and without struggle,
while others may find the threshold to Soul being more difficult to cross — needing to embark on a "vision quest" or other such processes or rituals.
A Catalyst or Companion may not be able to help all candidates complete the Soul Encounter,
but the energy expended so far will go a long way toward being prepared for any source of guidance
that may become pertinent on this journey.
Real-izing Purpose
Discovering the ways in which the revelations of Your Soul can be made real as your way of being and your purpose in the world...
What is your metaphorical and tangible identity...?
What does it mean to be You...?
How do you relate to the Wilderness and the Greater World Community?
Engaging in Community and Earth Stewardship
Discovering the ways in which you will share your unique purpose and gifts with the world...
How do you fit into the needs of community...?
How will you support members of your community and beyond?
How will the world be a better place with your help?
Working through the stages in their natural progression or cherry-picking the objectives based on past experience or focusing in one area is very typical, but there are reasons to return to this work, even after mastering the skills and reaching a strong sense of purpose and community. Here are a few scenarios that might warrant a review or a deeper dive into the objectives as-needed:
Encountering a rough or challenging phase or chapter of life: divorce, death of someone close, catastrophic or traumatic event, job change or loss, etc.
Getting married or partnered, having or adopting kids, moving, children leaving home, etc.
New revelations coming from soul — analogous to epigenetics, parts of our soul may need to assert new priorities for our purpose within The Whole.
Encountering new shadows or new dimensions of previously integrated shadows or wounds.
Even windfalls of good fortune might require a new look or prioritization or way of using new resources.
Entering into a new community may require new real-izations of who we are and how we bring our gifts to the world.
Of course, if you are encountering any of these phenomena as a newcomer to The Rewilding of Self, we can take whatever steps are appropriate to your circumstances — especially becoming (re-)grounded in Sanctuary.
